At Midlands Church, we commit to come alongside families as they nurture and encourage the spiritual development of their children, and to equip children to know their God, live their faith and share their hope. Contact our Kidlands Director, Elizabeth Haselden, if you are interested in serving or to learn more about our Midlands Kid's Ministry.
Our Values +
We value discipleship relationships in which intimacy with God and obedience to Him is modeled and pursued.
We seek to partner with others to reach unsaved children in our area with the hope of the Gospel.
We shepherd, train and send out children and leaders to minister in Columbia and beyond.
We believe that God has instructed parents to be the primary disciple-makers in their student's life; so Student Ministry at Midlands is a partnership between families and the church (Eph. 4,5). During the Fall and Spring semesters, we offer a weekly core seminar class for students on Sundays from 9:00 – 9:45. This class follows the text that will be preached that Sunday, with the goal of helping prepare students to fully engage in Sunday morning worship, as we also address student-specific needs. Additionally, the Student Ministry meets once a month for "Fundays" or service projects, in which we encourage parents to come and participate. Contact our Student Ministry Intern, Justin Howard, for more information.
Our desire is to connect each lady here at Midlands Church to Jesus and to one another through monthly gatherings ranging from Saturday morning breakfast, to dessert and coffee nights, to pool parties. We also hold Women’s Bible studies throughout the year and go on an annual Women’s Retreat. Please contact Beth Martin to learn more.
Our goal is to help men become the Christ followers, husbands, fathers, businessmen, and church partners God has designed us to be. We aim to provide opportunities and encouragement for men to rally together and support one another through living out the gospel. We have Discipleship groups for men, Men's Bible Studies ongoing throughout the year, and an annual Men's Retreat. Contact Ian Franklin to learn more.
